Help Dream Inn Workers

Last Friday I marched with Unite Here hospitality workers from Dream Inn who are trying to get a contract. They are fighting to keep their healthcare. Hospitality is an important industry in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties and without our hospitality workers to make guests feel welcome and comfortable, that industry would not be successful.

If you would like to show your support, community members are welcome to join the picket line protest this Friday at 4 p.m. The union has shared this message: "Dream Inn Workers are protesting the company’s low wage proposals and their stalling at union contract negotiations.

Members of Unite Here Local 483 have been working without an agreement since December 31, 2022."
